Chaos rising !

Here are some pictures from a recent game held at the start of January.

6000 points a side.

Chaos (4000 points human, 2000 points Demon) V allied army of Vampire Counts, Tomb Kings and Empire (all 2000 points each)

Yes, I know the allies were a bit of an weird mix, but there you go !

Allied forces deployed in a line abreast, VC, TC and Empire. Chaos deployed the Demons to face off against the undead and then 4000 points of human chaos forces against the Empire army !!!

Plan was for the Demons to hold whilst the Empire force was destroyed and then the human Chaos forces would turn and wipe out the undead armies.

All went very well for Chaos. Empire was destroyed and TC fled the battlefield. The Vampire Lord managed to retire from the engangement in good order - actualy with more troops than he started with due to those pesky Necro spells !

Demons lost around 1500 points though to the undead, so it was not all one way traffic, although in the end it was a Major Victory to the Chaos Gods.

Here's some pics:

Early moves - the forces of Chaos roll forwards. Note the Demon Lord in the foreground - almost 600 points on his own !

Thats a river the Demons are crossing. Eagle eyes will spot the line of tree kin (?) - they were being used as furies (did'nt have time to paint any up)

Hell Blaster awaits !

Chaos approaches. Chaos were using giant spiders instead of hounds - same stats including the poison attack.

Tomb Kings archers looking to slay some foul Demon spawn - hey, looks who talking !

More arrow shots. In the distance is a unit of Blood Crushers - they ended up being wiped out by a Vargauf (sp?) and 5 blood knights (who hit them in the flank) Lot of points lost for the Demons in one go !

Tomb Kings had 2 giant scorpions. Although the TC army did end up being wiped out (with the Heiphant thingy me person fleeing the battle field like a big girl) these scorpions helped the TC infantry hold against the Demon Blood Letters, and proved pretty handy overall.
